Require that birth certificates and certain official documents reflect biological sex.
2025 Regular Session
An Act to require that birth certificates and certain official documents reflect biological sex.
The biological sex listed on a birth certificate may only be amended in accordance with a court order upon a finding that the individual's biological sex is inaccurate.
If a child is born with a physiological disorder that renders the child's biological sex not identifiable at birth as male or female, based upon externally observable reproductive anatomy, the attending physician must make a presumptive determination of the child's biological sex.
