Prohibitions and Limitations on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Requirements for Medical Institutions of Higher Education
Provides requirements for state agencies applying for certain federal grants; prohibits state agencies from expending certain funds for diversity, equity, & inclusion office or officer; authorizes AG to file suit for writ of mandamus; prohibits person from being excluded on examining or licensing board based on specified grounds & from being subjected to discrimination by such board; prohibits examining or licensing board from establishing or effectuating certain policies or making decisions based on certain personal characteristics; creates private cause of action; provides for actual, compensatory, or punitive damages; requires potential recipients of state contracts or grants to provide specified certification to CFO; provides definition for "diversity, equity, & inclusion"; requires health care providers & medical institutions of higher education to provide specified certification to their governing boards; requires Florida Board of Medical Examiners to publish on its website list of providers & institutions that provide such certification; prohibits health care-related professional licensing boards & certain other organizations from certain actions relating to diversity, equity, & inclusion; requires medical institutions of higher education to provide letter grade-based assessments for required courses; provides exception; requires specified standardized test for admission to medical institutions of higher education; provides definition for "medical institution of higher education."

A state agency may not expend appropriated funds or otherwise expend any funds [...] to establish, sustain, support, or staff a DEI office or [...] hire a person to serve as a DEI officer.
"Diversity, equity, and inclusion" or "DEI" means: [...] d. Any effort to promote or adopt training, programming, or activities designed or implemented with reference to [...] gender identity, or sexual orientation. [...] e. Any effort to promote [...] a particular opinion referencing [...] allyship, transgender ideology, [...] social justice, intersectionality, neopronouns, heteronormativity, disparate impact, gender theory, [...] or any related formulation of these concepts.
All health care providers and medical institutions of higher education must certify [...] that they do not and will not require their employees, contractors, volunteers, vendors, or agents to ascribe to, study, or be instructed with diversity, equity, and inclusion material using state funds.
